Who watches the watchman ? not only is our society now plagued with the worst forms of hegemony and chauvinistic tribalism but our govt is now the leader in govt sanctioned 419 sakawa scam operations that its notoriety has gone global.we shall now begin a series that exposes the modus operandi of these criminals as all one needs to be is quietly observant and one will see the proofs . in short they take a worthy idea or project , proclaim it good then when it is started by the gullible all of a sudden there are problems , procedures and processes which in the end result only in the promoters or companies spending from a few thousands to millions , in the meanwhile these ndc officials and their civil servant cronies line their pockets with monies from these unsuspecting genuine businessmen. there is definately no agenda to move the country forward , thousands of businesses are being sabotaged in this manner . the pact and alliance of these northerners and ewes cover all institutions so no investigation in these malpractices are undertaken. yes the anti Akan coalition is there to rob not only the Akans but all the unsuspecting who dare to come with their capital but the word is out and now people are getting wiser. the institutions such as the police , army , bni and so on are not there to protect the law but rather cover up for all these criminal activities by the northerners and ewes. if anyone doubts just take the time to investigate what happens to any project in the pipeline starting with the stx or any project for that matter. ministers dont know what their directors are doing , ministries that are supposed to coordinate with each other cant , files getting lost until someone pays , and the tricks are endless. yes its now time to tell the people the truth about these good for nothing criminals of tribal affiliation . their dubious reputation is known globally so now nobody serious wants to touch them yet they continue to travel the world to entice the ignorant who very quickly learn this is a scam govt which does not care about anything but what they can put in their pockets today . we shall soon have our war or revolution to rid us of this yoke. now they steal from us in broad daylight and think of elaborate media spins and schemes to hide the true facts but look carefully the truth is always there . long live the republic of Akan

All he should have done was to make notes of the motor bikes registration,make,time and location.The number could be reported and recorded in MTU books, the bike could then be arrested at a later date. Alternatively if MTU has a data base then easy to trace. Moses dagombas are not all muslim,secondly not only dagombas live in Tamale,the rider may not be a dagomba,Be circumspect with such silly comments.

Ghana, has become a lawless society and it will get worse if we continue to turn a blind eye on such atrocities. The law must be fully implemented and be seen to be implemented across board.

We cannot allow politicians or whoever in authority to believe they cannot be touched in our society...............

How on earth can police officers be sitting on banned 'okadas' to work? And also allow motorbikes to go through red lights???????

We need to be very, very careful....or it could get worse.

The police man might be wrong but a reasonable person need not raise a hand at him, from what l read, the police was just trying to enforce order and if so why should those good/bad unreasonable ridders go ahead with their babaric action? is the police not there for our peace, will the police not be accused if he refuses to take action upon seeing the wrong. Assaulting a peace officer is condemn-able offence in the same way as it is when the police mete same to civilians under the guise of arrest for an offence committed. The Police should continually be reminded to be professional in the performance of their duties. Most of the time the way our policemen conduct themselves in the performance of their legitimate duties leave a lot to be desired to the extent that the public tend to withdraw their support to them and a times assault them. Let it be known to those bullies of policemen that they are a disgrace to their noble profession. In other jurisdictions policemen are the best of gentlemen but when you come to Ghana most of them are simply armed robbers, thieves and fraudsters in uniform. It is a high time the few honest ones give away the bad nuts for the sack. Politicians should also allow police administration to do their work in enlisting only those cut for the job to be enlisted instead of sending long protocol lists and twisting the arms of the appointing authority leading to the type of police officers we now find on our streets.

This report is very troubling, on the surface one can readily side with the police, I cannot agree with anyone, let alone a group of citizens, attacking a peace officer, a traffic stop is not a big deal compared to the punishment waiting for those who will be arrested for this attack.

Everyone in Ghana above the age of 12 yrs. old knows how notoriously corrupt the traffic police are, and how much they are despised by the people that they illegally tax on a daily basis with impunity. However, there are many different ways to solve problems and attacking a lone policeman is only compounding the problem, and helping to legitimize the very problem that ought to be eradicated.

Police brass must pay attention to the sentiments of the people, and reign in the seemingly unchecked corruption especially in the traffic branch of the service, where police sergeants cover their ID's and issue bogus summonses to drivers, directing them to police stations instead of courts, where they extort money from drivers inside the police station, it is done so secretly that other policemen at the station, may not be aware of what their rouge colleague is doing.

I wouldn't think about mentioning NDC & NPP in terms of solving this or any other serious problems, as far as I'm concerned these two political parties have different names, but they play the same games!
