The only real about this case ost he fact that someone is going to pay heavy to keep from being exposed whilst the foreigners wait for their mock trial to clandestinely leave Ghana after sentence

…Shocking revelation of Pamela Bridgewater

As former United States of America (USA) President George W. Bush was constantly massaging the ego of former President J. A. Kufuor as the best to have ever happened to Ghana, his Ambassador to Ghana was busy sending cables to the US State Department on how rotten Mr. Kufuor’s empire was, as far as illicit drug trade was concerned.

Pamela E. Bridgewater, US Ambassador to Ghana under the Bush administration, on Tuesday October 9, 2007, sent a damning cable under the subject Government of Ghana not doing enough to combat narcotics.

The cable, indeed, confirmed the lack of political will on the part of the Kufuor government to fight the narcotic drugs trade in Ghana.
In the said cable, which was to be declassified on 10 April, 2017, she stated that narcotic drug barons are generally large supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Ambassador Bridgewater said in the cable that she was told by an official of the Narcotic Control Board that the NPP had no plan of pursuing some eight drug barons, even though many of their identities were known.
Interestingly, Raymond Amankwah, who happens to be the brother-in-law of Nana Akufo-Addo, the flag bearer of the NPP, had his assets that were confiscated returned to him when Nana Addo was the Attorney General and Minister of Justice.
In the said cable, the US Ambassador said that the NACOB official who spoke with her even suggested that drug barons had penetrated the NACOB by recruiting officers of that outfit to keep them informed.

Ambassador Bridgewater said in the cable that NACOB, according to one of its higher ranking officials, is motionless.
She said in the cable that the NACOB official said the government of Ghana had effectively neutered NACOB since the embarrassing arrest in the US of the NPP Member of Parliament in 2005.
“All of the high ranking officials during that time have been removed. He said that the government of Ghana was upset with NACOB since it cooperated closely with the US government on the case, which resulted in Amoateng’s guilty plea and subsequent imprisonment in the US.
The NPP administration continued to pay Amoateng for 18 months after his arrest in the US.
Ambassador Bridgewater revealed in the cable that the NACOB official said no one at NACOB was ready to rock the boat, including the new Director Ben Botwe, who lacked experience with narcotics enforcement.
Ben Botwe was appointed to head the NACOB after Mr. Kufuor fired all the top men after the arrest and imprisonment of Amoateng. Before his appointment, he was working with the Food and Drugs Board.
She went further in the cable to state that the Deputy Director of NACOB, Mark Ewuntomaah, was also a problem, and that Gary Nicholls even told her that the Secretary to President Kufuor at the time commented that Ewuntomaah should have stayed as a retired police officer rather than being recalled to NACOB.
According to her, the US Embassy also had cause to worry about Ewuntomaah’s apparent unresponsiveness and general incompetence, adding “Despite repeated promises, Ewuntomaah was unable to even organize a tour to the airport for poloff.”
Ursula Owusu & NACOB
Surprisingly, all that was contained in the cable took place under the nose of one of the loud-mouthed NPP members, Madam Ursula Owusu, popularly known as Vuvursla, who was a Board Member of the NACOB.
Madam Owusu last week went berserk on various radio stations attacking the current administration for not doing enough to fight the illicit drug trade.
She even went on to ask the President to come out with names of members of his government, whom he said he was aware were dealing in drugs.
Observers say that it would be very crucial for Madam Owusu to tell Ghanaians of what she knew was going on at NACOB before asking President Mills for such names.
Interesting Notes
Under the NPP administration led by Mr Kufuor, three women who were residing at Dzorwulu, a suburb of Accra, were arrested at the Kotoka International Airport with large quantities of cocaine but they were not prosecuted.
It is instructive to know that their dockets got missing at the Attorney General’s Department at the time Nana Addo was the A-G and Minister of Justice.
Again, 77 parcels of cocaine mysteriously got missing under the watch of the NPP.
Apart from that, the NPP government sent sniffer dogs that had been brought into the country by the British Government to help fight drugs at the Kotoka airport back with the excuse that the dogs were eating too much.
It was under the NPP that the confiscated assets of Raymond Amankwah, a well known drug baron, who is the brother in law of Nana Addo, were given back to him.
Amankwah got his assets back when Nana Addo was the A-G.
Under the NPP, a quantity of cocaine got missing at Tema port and the police headquarters.

They lack the industriousness of the Igbos, the agribusiness of the Tivs, and the good naturalness of the Idomas. Aren’t the Yorubas something else? Hahahaha. Speaking of Chief Awo, it is funny the Yorubas changed that man’s name from Awolowo to Awo in their haste to deify mere mortal and clothe the man with the garb of immortality. Why does the Yoruba god’s name remind me of awo (Igbo word for the ugly, revolting toad that nobody but the Yorubas use in making potent poisons)? It could have been better had Yorubas been less insulting and kind enough to change their man’s name to mbala (Igbo name for toad’s more beautiful cousin, edible frog).

TESTIMONY BY A FRIEND OF AN ENCOUNTER A YUROBA>>>

My initial assessments of the Yorubas had left a bitter taste in my mouth. The first Nigerian to rob me in Atlanta was a Yoruba man who owned a used car lot and masqueraded as a mechanic. Did it engulf him into its sweltering bowels? . I hope my $245 turned into $1,000,000 for him so he would thank his witch doctor for providing him with effective charms that fooled a highly educated Igbo man. Hahaha.

MORE TRUTHS ABOUT EVIL TRIBE YUROBA

The Yorubas are something else, for they have distinguished themselves as fomenters of troubles and crises in Nigeria since time immemorial. Yorubas have more lawyers than all the other tribes put together, and their lawyers write petitions to oppose anything they smell as having injustice against Yorubas. Remember the Mid-West crisis; Awolowo’s stockpiling weapons of mass destruction to earn a treasonable felony conviction; and the Akintola problems ending in the death of a son. What would have happened had god Awo succeeded in toppling the Federal Republic of Nigeria? Nigeria’s name would have been changed to Owambeland or Oduduwala. The Igbos could have been exiled forever Now, you see why Yorubas are angry with Igbos for pulling off the Republic of Biafra and succeeding where their god Awo had failed At least, Republic of Biafra once was and is still in the minds of millions, while Owambeland or Oduduwala never was and may never happen unless dead Biafran children’s prediction comes true. Know why the Yorubas are Nigeria’s most hateful tribe?

We used to trade stories about this Yoruba man from Ijebu Ode who took an Igboman to meet his daughter whom the Igbo wanted for a wife; how Mgbati turned Anyamiri into a black goat which he took to the market for sale after deciding that having Naira was more important than having Yorigbo grandchildren. Yorubas have the persecution mentality which enables them to always cry foul play and marginalization when they fail to get what they covet. Like the chameleon, the Yorubas can change skin color at will and can vacillate at random between Christian and muslim worlds whenever the spirit hits them. The vacillation is akin to the abracadabra of a sworn homosexual who might screw a man today, a woman tomorrow, or an animal the next time. You never could tell. According to Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Yorubas are the problem with Nigeria, as Sanusi’s words attest:

The Yorubas are a people choking in the vomit they have created with hatred and fear of the Igbos. They envy the Igbos who have done the impossible – standing up to their enemies; and exercising their inalienable rights to self preservation. As cowardly and sheepishly docile as Yorubas are , Yorubas are a spineless people unable to stand up for a justifiable cause other than to fish in troubled water in search of decomposed leftovers. They are overjoyed the Igbos lost the Biafran War which afforded Yorubas the opportunity to scramble for “abandoned” Igbo belongings and misplaced Federal pieces of property they quickly pilfered with the blessings of Awolowo whom the Yorubas consider god of money, but whom I crown with title “Devourer of Dead Children.” Yorubas cannot fight but would run into juju shrines with human body parts in search of protective charms. What a group of superstitious bushmen! Lamido Sanusi continues:

The Igbo people of Nigeria have made a mark in the history of this nation. Had the two brothers not been arrested, one would eventually kill the other, so the winner would attempt to beat the Igbo in accumulating the largest amount of money the world could only imagine. Hey, did you read about the Yoruba man who died in a London hospital and whose penis and scrotum sack were found missing? The Yoruba nurses were up in arms when questioned “Where de penis and basket?” The parts were neatly sliced off and flown out to Ijebu Ode to be cooked and mixed in some ola-kassimous (made-up word for strongest) charms). Chai.

The Yorubas have charms for everything, including love portions, pregnancy inducers, barrenness inhibitors, cures for ogbanje, protection from gun wounds and poisonings. Despite their heavy groundings in the underworld Yorubas cannot equal the Igbos in capitalization, wealth, bravery, influence, or physical attractiveness. Yoruba charms are a cover-up for cannibalism, a subterfuge for wickedness of the most primitive category . So, what do their stupid charms do for them ? They rob Igbo stores in Lagos, organize riots to provide opportunities to ransack Igbo stalls, sell body parts to Igbo traders eager to amass billions of Naira they leave behind at death for the Yoruba witch doctors.

YUROBAS STUPIDITY

The Yorubas invented the Ogboni Society for Nigerian illiterates eager to own more money than God. I hear Ogboni members are required to sacrifice family members or chosen others to stay protected and in wealth. If Yoruba charms really work, why don’t they protect them from being arrested while marketing human body parts? Why don’t the jujus give the Yorubas the smartness and acumen the Igbos used to turn N1,000 given shortly after the War into billions a few years later? Why didn’t the charms clean the gutters, sanitize the squalor, and cure malaria and small pox infesting Yorubaland? Why don’t they fare better in WAEC papers without being the Surveyors of Expo? Why? The maiden edition of the Igbo leadesrship retreat organised by the Ohaneze took off yesterday with elder statesman, Chief Anthony Enahoro, restating the call for a national conference.

Enahoro who was a special guest at the retreat held in Asaba, the Delta State capital, said the national conference was the only way of resolving the major problems that had affected the growth of the nation.

The meeting which had in attendance Senate President Adophus Wabara, Imo State Governor Achike Udenwa, his Ebonyi State counterpart, Dr Sam Egwu, Justice Chukwu-difu Oputa, the Asagba of Asaba, Obi Prof Chike Edozien, prominent businessman, Chief Sunny Odogwu and scores of Igbo intellectuals, was the beginning of a new move to reposition the Igbo in the country, and at the same time reconcile all people of Igbo descent, both at home and in the Diaspora.

Wabara, addressing the meeting, said the final outcome of the novel course would remain a reference material for now and future Igbo concerns.

"A forum of this nature and of this magnitude has long been desired, especially at this time when there appears to be an increase in the consciousness and agitations for the Igbo man to rise and assume his pride of place in the polity of the nation," he said.

While calling for a rebirth of Ndigbo to enable them remain relevant in the nation's dynamic political arena, the Senate President said it was time the Igbo changed the way other Nigerians perceived them.

"We cannot afford to be continually seen as a people that lack a common focus or a race without the benefit of ideological illumination, or even organisational proficiency," he stated.

Wabara called for "a grilled reappraisal of the core Igbo values."

Wabara said: "A situation where every Igbo man would inordinately aspire to occupy the only position zoned to the Igbos does not speak well of our unity of purpose, neither does it buttress our organisational strength."

First of all, the title was wrong. To say jailed implies that they had been handed their sentences, only to read on to find out that they weren't but just remanded. So were they pronounced or found guilty by the judge? How? Without a main witness turning up in court to present the results of the forensic tests????

And how on earth could that sod fail to turn up in court, considering this is another high profile case, and upon all the bad press and image damaging exposure of previous cases??? Can't they get something right for once?

BTW, how did the crew get to know that Ghana Navy had gotten wind of their presence in Ghanaian waters? Is there a mole in the Ghana navy or somewhere else monitoring communication and alerting such criminals?

I hope this AG or her Deputy is keeping a close eye on this case,because I can see the 'big fish', behind this operation,springing a surprise on all of us,with the aid of one of these high-priced and well-connected lawyers in town! How? By simply changing their earlier guilty pleas to not guilty,once the principals have
caused the exhibit to morphed into the usual "konkonte",baking powder,or plain white flour. Better still,there is the possibilty that the 'goods' would simply evaporate into thin air over the upcoming extended holiday period ,when those whose custody this precious cargo is entrusted,are prevailed upon to become a little distracted! Sounds far-fetched and implausible,oh just wait to see these 'smooth operators' pull off this caper,as we have all witnessed i the past in this country.
Look, given the facts surroundng this case, the Judge should have called a short recess or a granted a couple of days delay, and ordered forensic test results to be produced;whereupon he could hand down the appropriate sentences;and ordered the immediate destruction of this dangerous cargo. Everyday that passes,give these wicked and stubborn narco-traffickers the time and opportunity to scheme to get their hands on the DRUGS. The sooner our courts,drug enforcement agencies and the prosecutors understand this simple truth,the worse oof this country will continue to be!

What happens to this cocaine after the suspects have been jailed? We all know the records of our security authorities, how they handle this of these nature, knowing how costive the substance is, as compared to the previous one that turned into so called 'kokonte'. So the question is what product should we expect this consignment would change to, considering the cost involved-$50m usd.
However, the Ghana Navy Which got this drugs arrested are really suffering from accommodation problems and no one seems to care. The personnel are suffering in the hands of the Land Ladies, becouse when you come to Sekondi- Takoradi you will find only women owning housing properties, only a handfull are men. Now it is even getting worse becouse the area is being referred to as 'OIL CITY'. You can best describe the situation as Personnels are working for these land ladies insted of making life for themselves. Suprisingly, it is only one side that the situation affects, that is the OTHER RANKS.The Officers are not affected becouse as soon as they commissioned into the service they are taken care of in terms of accommodation, but when it comes to other ranks they are been asked to go and look for accommodation and there they ran into the hands of land ladies. You can ask how many of the COMMISSIONED OFFICERS ever rent an apartment before.
Ghana Navy generate a lot of revenue to this country but still the most poorest among the three arms of services just becouse the top hierarchy are having a political link to the hierarchy in politics. I pray that GOD will touch the heart of the higher authorities to come to the aid of these guys who put their lives down for this nation, where lives are lost in line of their duties almost every here and there.
