This is a mistake that many people make when settling abroad when they marry abroad having already got married in Ghana before they left.
Unless they have obtained a divorce from the first spouse in Ghana the second marriage abroad is bigamous and illegal and has no official status. If caught, they could be imprisoned in the country in which they have settled for the crime of bigamy and any children of that marriage are illegitimate.
