The victim may have asked for an out of court settlement and refused to press charges. We know brown envelopes are moving around. But this is probably the first time he's been on police record to have committed any crime. The next time he gets himself in such a situation the police will have no choice but to take him in and have him prosecuted. And his sentence will be heavier if convicted.
