  what the accused did here was clearly wrong but what is driving this type of crime is the greed of overseas mostly European business men looking to make a quick buck. $160k for 5 Kg of gold is cheap and that should have made them smell a rat. The government should have certification so that only certain certified bodies can trade gold legally with overseas buyers. That way Ghana will gain better control of its precious resource and overseas businessmen will not be robbed in this manner.
