Nana, I do not think rape and defilement and other forms of crime were that commonplace in those old times. Back then, people 'knew shame' and criminals were ostracized one way or the other by society. Today, crime in Ghana (especially sexual crime and robbery) has escalated to alarming levels more than any other time in history.
