These parents should thank God they are not within my jurisdiction because, as chief, I would have fined and banished them. i will lobby Bawku Naba to take serious action on this.

She has a right to justice and the parents have no right to tramp on her rights because of their greed. I beg you, for God's sake, put the interest of your children before money. They are human; not objects.

This is a perfect example of the type of judge we need in the judiciary to inspire confidence and trust.The judiciary in Ghana is a corruption riddled shambolic laughing stalk with both local and global attention.Little wonder the British High Commissioner was blunt in his statement about the role of the judiciary in tackling corruption in public institutions.This digression is necessary about how powerful and financially accomplished people usually involved in heinous acts of criminality escape the law through bribery in disguise of out of court settlement.The judiciary no doubt has itself become a sanctuary of bribery and corruption with court clerks,registrars,lawyers and judges paid bribes to frustrate,kill and throw out cases in the interest of the powerful and rich but not justice for the poor victim.Mr Jon Benjamin made mention of corruption with impunity in public institutions because of failure of systems or institutions like the judiciary to deal drastically with offenders by administering appropriate deterrent punishment.We are talking about a case at the Fast Track High Court in which no mean a person but the Director General,Ghana Health Service, Dr Ebenezer Appiah Denkyira expelled a doctor from work based on a frivolous accusation of a mental illness to cover a bribery scandal that killed a teenager in Effia Nkwanta hospital.Cu dos to the lawyer who took up this case suppressed for 2 years in an attempt to kill it.We shall be watching to see how the judge at Fast Track Court 2 deal with it.There was an obvious attempt at skewing justice in favor of a dangerous criminal at the expense of poor innocent victim.Bravo judge Emmanuel Kofi.More of your type will quickly bring the culture of corruption and criminality with impunity to a halt.
