  This is another instance of the police protecting the Fulanis again. I live in the Afram Plains and cannot tell you how much financial devastation the Fulani herdsmen have caused me. I am not alone in this observation of blatant disregard of the rights of farmers here. The fact is that the Fulanis enjoy exceptional protection from the police because they pay handsomely. Come to think of it, Ghanaian police is made up mostly of criminals fronting as policemen. Their specialty here is to arrest poor motorcyclists for a living. To put it bluntly they hunt them down and collect 20 to 50 cedis from them each time for various minor offences.
  These are not interested in protecting our women from rapes by Fulani herdsmen or the protection of our farming assets. They are primarily interested in what the Fulani can give them-cash!!! The government itself is an open embarassment. How could we allow foreigners to rough ride us in our own country unless some higher UPS were benefiting at the expense of we poor farmers?
