Most often, it is about removing the woman from the land she owns. Typical in Africa.
Oh, the US is not that great either, regarding the elderly. If you are in the US, poor and old, they will get tired of you eating up the medical benefits and at some point, end your life in an assisted-living facility or nursing home. By delaying your treatment, when they see death is at your doorstep. They will wait hours until it takes you or before they call an emergency ambulance.
I witnessed it done to a 91 yr old lady in December, 2014. If she was wealthy, she would still be alive right now. America, too, is flawed.
