Psychological counselling for both are uneccessary as they are both victims of society's misplaced priorities and systemic neglect and social exclusionism. Yes crime is committed but this goes beyond it. Rehabilitation and reintegration is key

I think your utterances is a typical example of "African ideas". If the young lady is in School,it is not encouraged.However,don't forget that courting is a natural phenomena, an essential and very important part of Life,so far as marriage is concerned and considered in the near future.
I think to be in a open relationship is better than for men,enriched with sugarcoated flimsy love words implanted under the their teeth,to take advantage of a young lady once She is of age, underground ;only to dumped her at the last minutes ,and so on, and so forth.Anyway.

or,have a job to better his or her life,is non existence in Africa,if your parents could not afford to help you further than your levels.The African leadership has not such plans. Officials are mainly interested in corruptions,b'cos corruption is encouraged.For the singular fact that, all legalities to deal with the menace is in place(Police, CID Brch ,BNI, Attorney General etc etc).Yet Official has created a Vacuum in leadership in which; (1).Reports of Corruptions do not get to the law enforcement to conduct investigations.
(2).The Attorney General only prosecute corruptions which Police has duly completed investigations and
forwarded the Docked to the AG dept.
(3).Whoever was or,is the Attorney-General do not know and does not think that,he or she has the sole Right and Responsibility ,to Cause investigations, Public (police) or Private, on Corruptions of national interest by those who hold Public Office. So,the System is simply not working !B'cos there is Confusion in the system. And each law enforcement Dept is waiting on the other,which implies, none is above the other.They do not know who is to "Bell the Cat",since Adam !
Having said that,African govts should endeavour to do more to help their people.

also, if she knocked before entering the room, why did the guy allowed the ex girlfriend to the whilst the current (victim) was there with him?
in my opinion, I think the guy too should be arrested because no sane man will allow the ex and current girlfriends to be with him in one room simultaneously. for what?
I believe the guy might know the true character of amina perhaps, that might be the reason why they broke up their relationship so, under no circumstances what so ever the guy should have allowed a bittered jilted person like amina to be in the midst of where he was with his girlfriend. the guy should be blamed for whatever that has happened to the poor girl. on the other hand, I think amina too should be made to face the law because she took the law into her hands to act foolishly.
