I am surprised at the way ECG treat the losses in the system caused by some consumers. They do not care at all about illegal connections going on in the country because nobody checks them.

A case of illegal connection going in my house was reported to ECG hotline 0302611611, report no; 17569 on 31/03/2015 at 2120 hours was never investigated.I fear of fire in future in my house.Investigation by an expert from ECG will put my heart at rest as pensioner who will have no place to stay if it is burnt while the tenant will go away to his house.Is any one listening? God help me.

ECG must be aware that, a lot of their staff indulge in these offences. They teach others how to do the tempering. I have electrician friends who are equally staff of ECG that tell me this. They even know how to do it..

Officials of ECG will definitely know how to disable that camera soon and teach outsiders (electricians)

I hope there is no way to disable camera. I hope the camera is designed not to turn of and has no erase or delete functions.

Lets be frank here. what at all is this double standard being played by ECG and the Police. Come to Nima in Accra, Madina, Sodom and Gomorrah, Northern Regions and many other places where these practices of power tapping and tampering with meters is a common practice. Are we to say that the ECG monitoring teams are not there to identify these culprits? Our electricity delivery company can do better to save our plight if they wish to.Elsewhere punitive measures have been put in place to check this anomalies what have we done all these times to correct them. As long as we are not prepared to put the right measures in place, we shall have people coming with with new ideas of up-beating the company. Well to do individuals and even politicians are culprits but these does not come in the news because they have a clout. It is only the vulnerables who are going to be scapegoats. Even when companies shortchange their meter readings, the worse punishment meted out was to refund the approved bills. I am not supporting the gentleman's act and neither am I supporting the media hype of this case. ECG can do better for mother Ghana .Let them come again
