  This is not fair. What is 850 cedis and his sentence. Would it not be netter for him to serve farming for the prisoners for free for at least a year? 5 years is just too much for a poor farmer to be jailed for 5 years what would his wife and children live on . Is the judge not sympathetic enough to know that he is actually punishing this farmers family into stealing and causing more harm than good?

  The judges cause more harm than most of the criminals. Like Kaven pointed out, a whole family has been destroyed not by the action of the farmer but the judge. I hear these judges belongs to occults otherwise what else could explain their sheer wickedness

  Some years back, the late Fela Kuti composed a song that held the theme thus: AUTHORITY STEALS PASS ARMED ROBBERY.
  Armed robber steal One Million Naira, Authority go steal Ten Million Naira yet; you no go hear them say thief thief thief (like in the ase of the armed robber)but what you will hear is Misappropriation, embezzlement, malfeasance, judgment debt and all those s-it!
  He then suggested thus: WE AFRICANS, WE MUST DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS NONESENSE!
