Why is it difficult to annihilate armed robbers? Does it make sense to put them in prison and spend scanty revenue on them? They are anti social elements that should be discarded without thinking twice.

These people are lucky to be given life sentences.They are just going to congest the prison and be fed by the taxpayers.Death sentence is the best punishment for them.

Do we have the facilities to keep them for life? What is the re-offending rate of our prison population ? What are we doing about reforms to rehabilitate our prisoners after serving their sentences? This and others can also reduce the overcrowding prison popu. If there are no reforms believe you me our of the amnesty rate majority will have to go back to prison. Due to the fact that they may loose their families, the community in which they were may not accept them, they may not be able to take proper care of themselves for no job, they may not have had any skills during incarceration, many more of these factors. Nonethereless the serious criminals must still be locked up. They can be doing some paid jobs whiles in prison and the monies kept and given to them after serving there sentences. I do not know the rate now but we can find out by benchmarking the best practices of the advanced countries.

These people were arrested first, granted bail and while on bail continued to rob. If they are not incarcerated for life, don't you think they will commit the crime again (probably killing in the next ones) when a shorter sen ...

When am part of patrols we don't catch armed robbers we kill them.things they do to their victims don't come out.court waste a lot of time and sometimes they are freed.
