  Bail laws need to be changed in relation is charges of rape and defilement. The question of whether sex was consensual or not is often based on previous sexual relations between the person charged and the alleged victim.

  Bail laws need to be changed in relation is charges of rape and defilement. The question of whether sex was consensual or not is often based on previous sexual relations between the person charged and the alleged victim.
  
  The law should presume innocence unless the prosecution can make the case beyond reasonable doubt.
  The person charged should therefore have his or her freedom until proven guilty.
  
  In this case the so called victim is deceased due to old age and the case should be dismissed.
  
  Holding in detention an 87 year old man under bad bail laws is in effect subjecting the man whose innocence must be assumed, a sentence of torture and death.
  
  To proceed with this case under the circumstances is an egregious miscarriage of justice.
