  That said, I think we should always find ways to determine the true age of these girls,the courts should not rely on what the parents say to put people in jail,this girl who kept going to the boy could be 16 or more but to make their case strong the parents with the help of the corrupt police could reduce the age to get conviction because with the girl going there after the first act they cannot say it was rape.

  I cannot say much about this case since only very little fact is shown. however, while I completely agree that a 15 year old cannot consent to sex by law, the length of the imprisonment deserves separate mention.I wonder whether some of our judges ever refer to their sentencing guide at all before throwing convicts to long jail terms.it is true that this man behaved like an idiot for taking undue advantage over a minor, he accepted his guilt and wanted to take responsibility for his action. this is not to say that one could walk free for committing crimes of this degree but punishment in general must be consistent with the crime. it must be meant to deter others from engaging in criminal activities and this should be balanced with the effect such punishment will have on the individuals involved and the society we live in. to my opinion, long sentencing like this must be handed out to persistent offenders. this jail term is, without any argument too long and unsafe.
