The only problem: no president wants to set the precedence of signing, so the culprit will he hanged.

All the presidents are simply cowards or fear they will lose votes from the area where the culprit comes from.

our criminal law does not require proof of motive (unlike in the US). in Ghana you only need to prove mens rea (intent) and actus reus (physical act). Once these two are established, nothing more is required.

And so if his appeal is going to be centred around motive, then please be advised.

Yes, Kombian had a motive. Kombian broke jail about four times and fleeing from the law. In his warped mind the sight of any police officer meant doom and had to kill them for his own survival.

Mr Johnson Kombian must not be a card holding member of the ruling NDC party, otherwise he would have walked free from the courts. Since currently Ghanaian justice as applied to only members of committed NDC criminals means making sure such hard-core offenders are mostly freed from courts without ever been charged. I therefore suggest his lawyer applies for NDC membership for Mr Kombian just before he appeals against the death penalty verdict, that's, if he is not already a member.
