  It is very mind-boggling that some people in Ghana are so tribalistic to the extent that everything that they do, they indicate their dislike for people in a tribe that is not theirs. Such people are of less importance in building a nation and they don't deserve to comment on issues posted on Ghanaweb. I am from the Western Region and not an Ashanti but I am writing this comment because these tribalistic people are retarding our development as a nation. People in advanced nations don't do that. God created all men equal and so let's respect one another irrespective of whatever tribe we belong to. Tribalistic people, be wise

  The issue of domestic violence needs publicity around the country. People should be educated on how to deal with violent domestic situations. The woman's threat to kill herself was a cry of despair. The man should have spoken in a calm voice. Apologizing is a good way to cool off the emotions. Leaving the house may also help take away the anger. Asking a calm, respected relative or friend of the woman to mediate will offer hope and a better choice than death. The worst decision is to fight over a sharp knife when passions are high. The stabbing should be seen as a tragic accident. The woman should be set free.
