Ashaiman is almost always in the news for the wrong reasons. It is always robbery, theft, burglary, rape at knife point, mugging, phone theft at knife point or some other bizarre crime. So what is in the DNA of Ashaiman people? Most of their ladies too are criminals in disguise. I befriended one at a famous Polytechnic some years ago and one day during holidays, when we went to buy food at a chop bar she inflated the cost of the food she bought and even went ahead to buy an extra plate for her auntie, without first telling me.

Oooooh, Ashaiman, den of criminals. In the days of the Rawlings' Revolution soldiers from Michel Camp used to round up suspected armed robbers at Ashaiman, screen them and the known ones were taken to a firing range, shot and dumped in a huge pit. Good riddance.
