Finland Is Ready For The Ghana´S 50th Independence Anniversary Celebration
Ghana was the first African colony, south of the Sahara to gain its independence. It is 50 years since this happened. Ghana’s independence paved the way for the independence of other African countries. And this confirms to the words of Ghana’s first President Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah that, Ghana’s independence is meaningless unless it was linked to the total liberation of Africa. We in Finland are going to celebrate this with different activities starting from February 18th. This is the tentative program:

PROGRAMME OUTLINE: 18th of February, 2007 – Gospel Rock Show to pray for continued peace and stability In Ghana And Finland.
3rd of March, 2007 – Symposium on Development, Trade and Investment. Exhibition of Ghanaian products and a display of African Fashion (fashion show) Many high profile speakers from Finland and Ghana including H.E Mrs. Maureen Amematekpor, the Ghana Ambassador to Denmark and the Nordic countries have been invited.
6th of March 2007 – Children’s program. About 200 children from different schools in Helsinki area are expected to attend the show which includes poetry recital, Ananse storytelling, cultural dance etc.
9th of March, 2007 – Ghanaian Cultural performance
10th of March, 2007 – Dinner (buffet) and Dance Come and taste the sumptuous Ghanaian dishes The Crowning of Best Ghanaian traditionally dressed couple Enjoy wonderful Ghanaian Cultural performance and Win Fantastic prizes from Independence fundraising Raffle
