The Al-Hajj Newspaper did not have to tag the story with Political Party the victim and the culprit belong to, since the incident had nothing to do with the Party's activities.

If it were not for sheer cheap political points, as if to portray the NPP as prone to crime, the Paper could have simply reported the incident as occurring between some Ghanaians in UK. Even if their Party's name was needed to help identify the folks involved, it could have been mentioned in a flighty passing that wouldn't bear the nuance of typifying such a crime in the NPP.

The Paper does not seem to waste no time at all in linking the NPP to crime at the least opportunity. In this case, it is just pathetic that it did so.

The tragic impact of the crime on the lives of the folks involved is sadly buried under the political overtones of the reportage. This strongly suggests how the Paper does not seem to care as much about the lives of the folks involved as portraying their link to the NPP. That is a shame unto the Al-Hajj!

The tragedy of Ghanaians in diaspora caught up in such a life-threatening incident ought to have been the focus of the reportage, and not the political affiliations of the folks involved, unless to just to help identify them.

But how both the caption of the story and the story itself were written by the Al-Hajj has a subtle embedded blame or insinuation against the NPP for the incident. And that is unfair and below the belt.

Infact I witnessed the incident and been an NPP sympathiser I never knew the lady in question is even an NPP member.
The guy didn't even runaway, he stood there with the bottle until the Police came to take him away.
Nevertheless, this happened 2 weeks ago, whilst Nana Addo was even in Ghana.
Please Ghanaians are discerning, stop this cheap propaganda.

Yes there was stabbing, yes the man claimed he stabbed the other man because he's been sleeping with his wife for two years, he didn't even make an attempt to run after the stabbing, the police came and he was apprehended. Period
