They don't relate largely to the current year but may occur in future. it's only when there are no previous revaluation gains in the past that can offset the future losses then we can recognize the revaluation losses in the income statement. Kojo stop forcing your ignorance on us.
But who gains when the bank of Ghana makes a surplus on their accounts? The few board and management will benefit with higher pay and bonuses. But the loss as a result of not allowing the cedi to depreciate benefits all Ghanaians. Your NPP allowed the Cedi to fall but still made a loss of over 80 billion by the time you left office. what did your NPP use the money for?

I am aware Oppong Nkrumah was never an accountant. Never was he an auditor. What is it wrong with him? He keeps on playing dirty politics with his ignorance and the law. Sammy Gyamfi read out a portion of the Banking Law which directs how to treat comprehensive loss and total operating loss. Why is Oppong Nkrumah not referring to that law to back his nauseating argument but spewing out garbage from his half-baked brains in accounting. Anybody who is half educated is dangerous. It is that situation we are witnessing now. Is Oppong Nkrumah saying the audited accounts of the BOG by KPMG are wrong? That he, Oppong Nkrumah, has a better understanding in auditing compared to KPMG. You see how arrogant Oppong Nkrumah is? During the eight year rule by the NPP, the officials hyped themselves and abrogated to themselves the preserve of all knowledge but they had no clue how to stabilise the economy. The man holding their banner ran away from issues bordering the economy and claimed monopoly over digitalisation. That is how these twerps are. The earlier we walk away from them, the better for our children and our future. Oppong Nkrumah should tell us his score card as a minister of information, then as minister for works and housing. Chakai! He brags like an idiot.
