If party membership is now the qualification for having an opinion, then what do we make of Kennedy Agyapong, who publicly described the NPP in very unflattering terms and questioned why he belonged to the party—yet today, everyone is working hard to keep him in the fold?

The same NPP shouting “Democracy Is Under Attack” must now explain whether democracy only applies when you agree with the party.
And please, let’s not pretend political “qualification” has always been a science. Bawumia became Vice President despite the very arguments some now use to dismiss others as not being “material.”

So, is the problem really Dr Nyaho-Tamakloe’s membership—or simply that he refuses to sing the current NPP chorus?

A party that claims to defend democracy should be able to tolerate dissent—even from its own founders.

Membership can expire. History doesn’t. And a membership card certainly doesn’t confer a monopoly on truth.

Dr Tamakloe himself jumped ship before the 2024 elections,and has been on board the other vessel by his own words and deeds since! The dude says himself that wants to sail with his nephew's party! That ends the matter! Wether Nana B is a nobody is besides the point.There should be no insults or fuss over Nana B,who is only conveying the party's position that Tamakloe has been officially written to,to let him know that he has no right to style himself as a member of the NPP and appear on political platforms as one anymore because he has said so himself!
