Fred Amugi is a veteran Ghanaian actor
Veteran Ghanaian actor Fred Amugi has stated the importance of reviving classic movies, explaining that a community without history cannot thrive properly.
He explained that this is one way to keep history alive and remind future generations of their roots.
“Any community without history cannot live properly, in my view. Why do I say this? There were earlier generations before you. If their foundation had not been solid, you would not even be here today.

“It is because people lived in a certain way that you came into this world. Naturally, you have a connection to the past. You need to be reminded of your history,” he stated in an interview on TV3, shared on X on February 24, 2026.
Sharing his past professional journey, Fred Amugi revealed that he once worked at Ghana’s Ministry of Finance under three former presidents.
He disclosed that he served as Director of Supply at the Ministry of Finance during the tenure of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, as well as under the late Presidents Jerry John Rawlings and Hilla Limann.
