CEO of BullHaus Entertainment Lawrence Asiamah Hanson known by many as Bulldog has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to intervene in resolving the long-standing feud between dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
His comment comes on the back of a brawl that ensued between the two during the 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards last Sunday, May 19.
Speaking in an interview on the 3FM Drive, Bulldog said it is important for the feud between the two to be resolved permanently to avoid any future occurrences.
“The President must step in this matter to bring lasting peace between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.”
He also said the president should grant Stonebwoy a presidential pardon in the case pending before courtbetween him and Shatta Wale since he has been charged for displaying weapon in public place without permission.
“In fact, it will be ideal for all stakeholders to visit and beg Nana Addo [Dankwa Akufo-Addo] for a presidential pardon for Stonebwoy.
“If the case is stretched and the laws of Ghana is allowed to take a rigorous action, Stonebwoy will suffer,” he opined.
On the way forward for the two dancehall giants, Bulldog said it is only the president who can calm situations since both artistes do not trust each other.
He said the president is respected by both artistes, hence, they will not avoid or go against him.
Following the brawl between Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale at the VGMAs which marred the show, organisers Charterhouse banned them from the awards scheme indefinitely.
Speaking about the ban, Bulldog expressed disappointment in Charterhouse for not calling both artistes to dialogue before issuing the ban.
According to him, the two artistes are young, and should be forgiven for their actions.
