Sally Frimpong and Kwesi Ernest
“She is a stupid girl" was the last jab Kwesi Ernest threw at Sally Frimpong Manso last Saturday on Power FM’s “Power Entertainment” show hosted by award-winning Agyemang Prempeh, Sammykaymedia.com monitored. Well, for those of you who do not know these two "fighters", Kwasi Ernest is a music producer, an artiste manager and the CEO of Media Excel Productions who prides himself with over twenty years of experience in the Music Industry.
Sally Frimpong Manso on the other hand is an outstanding event organiser, an entertainment pundit on most radio and tv channels in Accra. Been in the industry for over fifteen years,she doubles as the CEO of Lioness Media and also the producer of McBrown Kitchen.
The "bout" began when the "promoter" Agyeman Prempeh called Kwasi Ernest on phone to ask him for his opinion on the work-of unofficial personal assistants to celebrities with Ebony and her friend Franky Kuri being the case study.
With a high-speed eagerness to state his thoughts, the former manager of Joyce Blessing told the host that,
"it's very unfortunate to see certain persons around our celebrities who are not officially recognised by the record label. Any person who follows any celebrity must be recognised otherwise it's not worth it because in any eventuality, the unofficial assistant would be abandoned by the celebrity's record label"....Kwasi Ernest stated.
Kwasi Ernest who currently manages SP Kofi Sarpong further explained that, “I will not bother myself taking care of another person who follows my artiste to shows simply because that perosn is a friend or relative to my artiste. Things must be done in a professional manner so that our industry can grow. It's sad that Franky Kuri and Francis Atsu also lost their lives through the accident but they died for nothing ostensibly because they were not officially recognised by Ebony's Management".
Sally Frimpong Manso in a quick attempt to rebut Mr. Ernest's submissions, decided to take him to the cleaners stating that,Kwasi Ernest is oblivious about artist management.
“Agyemang, Kwasi Ernest is clueless and ignorant. He does not know what he is talking about. How can he say that Franky Kuri and Francis Atsu died for nothing because they were not official aids to Ebony. At least he should be sensitive to their families. He knows nothing about artiste management and if i were one of the artistes he is handling at the moment, i would immediately sack him", she fumed, much to the surprise of the host.
This rebutall obviously did not go down well with Kwasi Ernest who called into the programme to throw much light on his earlier submissions.
"How can Sally say that I am clueless. Was she expecting me to say what she wanted to hear. In fact, i am highly disappopinted in her and as a lady she should learn how to talk to men. Is it because there is a microphone sittng in front of her so she can say anything. She is a stupid girl...." puuu puuu puuu, Mr Ernest angrily hangs up.
But checks conducted by sammykaymedia.com on Saturday revealed that, the outspoken artiste manager posted an apology on a friend's facebook wall.
“Am sorry if any of my comments didn't go well am sincerely sorry for the words used ...we must respect person's when the microphone is open to u ....I have rest for every woman but it's doesn't mean am weak to accept to be redicled in public....Thank u”.....Kwasi Ernest wrote on Ekow Browza’s Facebook page.
When pressed upon by the host to apologize for some harsh words used on Mr Ernest, Sally Frimpong Manso could only offer a cheeky apology (Na Me Ye Greek Ni).
Well, the battle line has been drawn between these two experienced “heavy-weight fighters" because of their half-hearted apologies and sammykaymedia.com can’t wait to witness how this bout will end.
