Actor, Sunsum has asserted that some people who thronged Bishop Bernard Nyarko’s family house for the commemoration of one week of his passing, failed to adhere to the social distancing directive by President Akufo-Addo due to the intake of alcohol.
According to him, sympathizers were in deep pain hence resorted to alcohol, making them unaware of their actions at the time.
The one-week remembrance ceremony of the late actor was held at his family house at Ashaley Botwe-Lakeside near the police station.
Nana Ama McBrown, Christiana Awuni, Vivian Jill, Salinko, Sunsum and many others were seen defying the social distancing ban imposed on Ghanaians as part of the stringent measures put in place to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
While the police was ensuring that only 25 people entered the building at time, others were seen chatting and grieving without heeding to the social distancing directive.
Bishop Bernard Nyarko died on Saturday, May 2 at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital – Ridge Hospital.
He was a member and associate pastor of Grace Redemption Chapel.
