Blakk Rasta has been sued by Shatta Wale for GH¢100,000,000
Popular reggae musician and social commentator, Blakk Rasta, has stated that he isn’t as controversial as the public perceives.
He said this during an interview with George Quaye on Joy Prime, where he was asked about his ongoing defamation lawsuit filed by Dancehall star Shatta Wale.
When asked about the suit, Blakk Rasta laughed, stating, “Interestingly, I’ve never been sued all my life.”
He added that his social commentary often creates the perception that he is deliberately controversial.
However, according to him, he is just being natural and speaks only the truth.
"It's interesting because people think I'm controversial, people think I make a lot of controversial statements, and people sometimes even think I go above board.
“I’m just being me. I'm just being natural. That's why I've never been sued. I’m just speaking the truth and following the path of the truth,” he noted.

Blakk Rasta's comments come after Shatta Wale, on January 19, 2026, filed a lawsuit, accusing him of broadcasting false, misleading, and scandalous statements intended to damage his reputation.
In the writ of summons, Shatta Wale stated that the video in question attracted significant public attention within 24 hours of its publication, garnering over 150,000 views on Facebook and more than 27,000 views on YouTube, along with thousands of comments and reactions.
