Canada’s African Entertainment Awards 2015 calls for nominations

African Entertainment Inc. proudly announces the return of the fourth edition of the African Entertainment Awards, on Saturday, September 5, 2015 inside the Living Arts Centre located at 4141 Living Arts Drive, Mississauga, Ontario L5B 4B8.

This year's awards ceremony will be hosted by one of Nollywood’s top actors, John Dumelo and female International recording artist Emma Nyra. Operating under the new 2015 theme "Re-Branding Africa Through Entertainment."

The awards ceremony promises to leave a lasting impression and big changes from its previous year, including better quality visuals, from the production to the Red Carpet experience. An increase in local and international celebrities, special guests and personalities are all in order for the African Entertainment Industry.

Founder and Executive Producer of the African Entertainment Awards, Ibrahim Adekale says,“We are excited to honour creative talents in the entertainment industry and also looking forward to sharing these talents with the world”.

The 4th Annual African Entertainment Awards nomination process runs February 23rd to May 23, 2015. The nomination process has changed from its previous year, now allowing the African Entertainment Awards Selection Panel to review all submitted nominations.

Potential industry nominees are encouraged to nominate themselves by completing the online nomination form on the African Entertainment Awards website at: www.aeawards.caAfter the nomination deadline, the selection panel will choose the official nominees in each category by participating in a series of review meetings to thoroughly assess the eligibility of each industry nominee.

The 2015 selection panel consists of entertainment professionals with a broad array of knowledge, experience and backgrounds.

AE Awards Categories

Best MC, Best DJ, Best Male Gospel Artist, Best Female Gospel Artist, Best Female Artist, Best Male Artist, Best Album, Best Single, Best Producer, Best Video Director, Best Promoter, Best Comedian, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Designer, Best Media, Best Record Label, Best New Artist, Best Band/Group, Traditional Artist of the Year, Athlete of the Year, Crossover Artist, Beacon Of Africa, Award of Excellence and Community Champion.

International awards include; Int'l Best Male Artist, Int'l Best female Artist, Int'l Best African Actor, Int'l Best African Actress and Int'l African Music Ambassador.

All nominations for the international category must be submitted by May 23, 2015.
