Comedian Foster Romanus
Ghanaian comedian Foster Owusu Amponsah, who responds to the stage name, Foster Romanus has rebuked Viasat 1 TV for celebrating the death of American boxer, Muhammad Ali on one of its flagship programs, The Ghana Report hosted by Bernard Avle.
Romanus Monday evening on Facebook expressed worry over the TV show’s decision to use its airtime to pay special tribute to one of the most significant and celebrated sports figures of the 20th century when nothing of that sort was done for some entertainment personalities Ghana has lost.
He named late celebrities like Bob Okala, Santo, Kwame Owusu Ansah, Suzzie Williams, Terry Bomchaka, Ronnie Coaches, Nkomode and Araba Stamp as some celebrated Ghanaians who were not honoured by the TV station when they passed away.
Foster Romanus wrote “I AM VERY SAD AT THE SIGHT OF THIS, FORGIVE ME IF YOU DON’T AGREE WITH ME. BUT THINK ABOUT THIS, WE LOST BOB SANTO, RONNI COACHES, TERRY BONCHAKER, BOB OKALA, KWAME OWUSU ANSAH, SUZZY WILLIAMS, NKOMODE, ARABA STAMP JUST TO MENTION A FEW.
