Even though the World Health Organisation has declared Coronavirus a pandemic, Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale thinks it’s fine to crack jokes about it.
The Health Minister, Kwaku Agyemang-Manu, in a press statement on Thursday, March 12, confirmed two cases in Ghana.
According to him, the two cases tested positive after laboratory tests from the Noguchi Memorial Institute of Medical Research.
The cases according to the Health Minister were reported as ‘imported cases’ as both individuals returned to Ghana from Norway and Turkey.
Since the announcement, some Ghanaian celebrities have taken to their various social media platforms to caution fans to stay safe.
But Shatta Wale took to Twitter to make jokes.
He started off with the spelling and pronunciation of the name of the virus.
“I beg ooo the tin ebe Columbia virus or colona vilus, Woman runningGhana Flag of Ghana de3 our prekes3 sent self go fit kill am sharp!” he tweeted.
I beg ooo the tin ebe Columbia virus or colona vilus, ???????Ghana ???????? de3 our prekes3 sent self go fit kill am sharp!#Chacha
