Dear GhanaWeb,

Freda was against sex before marriage, so during the four years we dated, I was not allowed to engage in any sexual activity.

Even after marriage, our sex life is dull. It's always the same position, and she refuses to try anything new or exciting.

Since we got married, I have noticed that my wife does not show any signs of pleasure during intimacy. She simply lies there, and after we're done, she goes straight to sleep without any romantic conversation.

It's uncommon for a woman not to react during sex unless she has undergone FGM. I jokingly asked my wife about it, and she confirmed that she had indeed been subjected to FGM as a child.

Because she doesn't let me touch certain parts of her body, I was unaware of this, but she showed me proof.

I am not sexually satisfied in my marriage. I enjoy the excitement that comes with sex, and not having that from my wife is making me unhappy.

Our marriage is still new, but I am considering divorce. I cannot continue living in this situation, and I fear that I may be tempted to cheat on her if things do not change.

Do you think divorce is the best solution?
