'Don't let people's opinions control your life' - Reggie Rockstone advises youth

Hiplife musician Reggie Rockstone has advised the youth not to let the opinions of others hurt them.

In an interview with GhanaWeb's TV Particia Rockson Hammond, on ‘Moans & Cuddles’, Reggie stated that one can lose the essence of purpose if they allow the perception of others to have a negative toll on them.

"People's opinion of you shouldn't control you, but it should give you an idea of how people perceive you because perception is almost everything, nevertheless, don't let it rule your life," he stated

Reggie indicated, “If somebody says something about you, it only becomes effective if you believe what they said. For example, if someone calls me a thief, and I know I am not, it doesn't impact my life.”

When asked how he balances his private life with being a celebrity, Reggie stated that tolerance and respect for privacy are key factors in sustaining a marriage.

Reggie added that couples must understand each other in other to thrive.

"When I met my wife, she was an outgoing person, so I can't change how she is..... The thing is I have always been in the limelight and my wife doesn't care about the limelight so I allow her to be herself the same way she allows me to be myself," he said
