Addressing claims that panelists on UTV's United Showbiz are paid GH¢500, Vida Adutwumwaa has firmly dispelled this notion.

Shatta Wale, an avid critic of the show, has consistently alleged that panelists and guests receive GH¢500 to make disparaging comments about others.

In contrast, Arnold Asamoah Badu, one of the panelists, also mentioned that his highest paycheck came from being a panelist on the platform.

This controversy over their earnings has captured public attention.

But clarifying the situation, Vida Adutwumwaa stated that they are actually paid in dollars.

She explained that they usually convert their earnings before spending them.

Vida, who is currently abroad, shared this in an interview with Zionfelix: “When we get paid, we change the currency before we’re able to spend it. Even when I was coming, I didn’t go to the forex bureau; there’s still some left.”

Vida also hopes for a pay increase, stating, “We’re praying for an increase and elevation from dollars to pounds. The dollars are too much; we want pounds now.”

Regarding what makes their show unique, she highlighted the variety of opinions that contribute to its appeal.
