Reggae and dancehall artist, Shatta Wale says Ghana is becoming “very hot” under the presidency of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

According to the Shatta Movement boss, many Ghanaians are living in hardship owing to the collapse of businesses and loss of jobs.

He said, the economic hardship is putting a lot of stress on Ghanaians to the extent that they are gradually overlooking the excitement in the music industry as most of his fans are not aware of the many songs he has released recently.

“This time I’m even releasing more songs but people are not even aware. I’m just trying to make people take their minds off certain things. I’m trying to put controversial stuff in the industry for Ghana to be interesting but the country is becoming hotter and hotter each and every day,” he revealed.

He also observed how the hardship is forcing many of the youth to venture into risky means of making a living including armed robbery and fraud.

The SM chief is, therefore, appealing to President to fix the economic challenges and alleviate the suffering of citizens.

“I beg the president to do something. Ghanaians are suffering too much. I just want to say this on air for him to know that I also care about the country. The way he wants Ghana to move is the same way I also want Ghana to move but people are complaining too much. Like there’s no money, businesses are collapsing…”
