Ghanaian hiplife artiste Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus has called on the government of Ghana to ban Charterhouse, the organisers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

According to A Plus, Charterhouse must be jailed because they are irresponsible and didn’t care about the lives of Ghanaians at the event.

“Charterhouse didn’t ban Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy for life because they know that they need these two musicians. They need them to be part of the VGMA, nonsense ban.

This ban thing is a joke, the government must ban Charterhouse. Charterhouse is irresponsible so the government of Ghana must set up a committee that will invite these people and jail them.

Charterhouse did not care about the safety of Ghanaians and dignitaries present but only cared about scanning the tickets to ensure that they get all their money. The first thing they should have done was to issue an apology and explain to Ghanaians what went wrong”, he stated.

Kwame A Plus statement comes after Charterhouse revealed in a press statement that the two big dancehall musicians Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have been indefinitely banned from participating in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

They also added that the two musicians should return all awards they won on the night to Charterhouse because the awards have been annulled.

However, other Ghanaian celebrities have also reacted to the sanction placed on Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy describing it as harsh.
