When musician Mzbel aka Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah gave birth to her son about three years ago, she opted for a nanny to help her deal with the responsibilities that comes with motherhood and work.
But some months after hiring, the Ekua singer changed her mind and fired her nanny hence leaving her no choice than to take up that mantle of performing multiple house chores.
A nanny is a childminder, child care provider, or mother’s helper or an individual who provides care for one or more children in a family as a service.
According to Mzbel in one of the episodes of her television reality show; Bel and the City; “I fired my nanny because she was getting into my business and I just had to let her go. What she was doing was just too much so I did what I had to do.”
After she left, the latter said, she had to do everything herself so far as taking care of a home was concerned.
“Ever since she left, I have been doing everything on my own. Now I do all the house chores, I do the cleaning, the sweeping, checking on the kids and trust me, it is not easy being a mother,” she said.
Mzbel is currently championing a cause to help put an end to the current power crisis that Ghana is facing.
She is embarking on an educational campaign dubbed Stop Illegal Connection.
