Veteran actress, Maame Dokono
Veteran Ghanaian actress Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono, has disclosed that she has not been involved in any intimate relationship for more than 20 years.
At 80 years old, Maame Dokono revealed that she feels free and content without a man in her life.
She disclosed this in an interview on 3FM where she explained that having a man would bring additional responsibilities, such as cooking and washing, which she is not interested in at this stage of her life.
"I feel free. All my children are not here. So who will be in charge of the food? Who will be in charge of the washing of the old man's clothing and all that? And during the night for the man to come and worry me,” she stated.
When asked if she would still be concerned about intimacy at her age, Maame Dokono responded that even at 60, she was not worried about "night business."
She emphasised that she has managed over 20 years without it, relying on prayer, the Bible, and her involvement in church activities and women's groups to find satisfaction.
"I'm nothing worried over the night business. Even at the age of 60, I was not worried about the night business.
“I go to church. I joined most of the women's group, and I do other things,” she disclosed.
