I still insist Gyan is a 'rapist and sodomiser' - Maurice Ampaw

Private legal practitioner, Dr. Maurice Ampaw has taken a swipe at Black Stars skipper, Asamoah Gyan alleging that he is still a “rapist and sodomizer.”

He maintained that Gyan is “not a free man” as said by his lawyer, Kissi Agyabeng in a press conference on Tuesday.

Asamoah Gyan popularly known as 'Baby Jet' has been cleared of rape and unnatural carnal allegations leveled against him by Miss Sarah Kwabla.

The Attorney General (A-G) after careful study of rape and unnatural carnal knowledge allegations made by Miss Sarah Kwabla against Asamoah Gyan has concluded that the allegations are baseless and the docket should be closed.

But lawyer Maurice Ampaw on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed 'Ghana Montie' insisted that the – “Attorney General has no powers to clear Asamoah Gyan of his rape charges”

He noted that the Attorney General – “has the mandate to say that they are not ready to prosecute Gyan – but they cannot clear him of all the charges. That is illegal. Any new A-G can follow the case”.

He however, alleged that – “Asamoah’s Gyan lawyer (Kissi Agyabeng) works with Attorney General so there is a conspiracy somewhere. We know and we will expose them soon and their evil deeds.

The controversial lawyer also maintained that the reigning Africa’s richest footballer – “Is a rapist and sodomizer. I have evidence and will soon make it public. Asamoah Gyan had sex with Sarah Kwabla through her anus and I have video evidence to back my claims."

Meanwhile, Asamoah Gyan’s legal team say they are ready for a defamation showdown with Maurice Ampaw for his role in the public storm surrounding allegations that Gyan raped Sarah Kwablah.
