Ghanaian TikToker, Martina Dwamena, known as Asantewaa, has recounted her survival after someone she trusted took funds from her shop without repayment.
In her narration, the TikToker indicated that she invested significant sums of money into a shopping business and entrusted it to an individual for management.
She noted that before she realized it, the person managing the shop had stolen all the money and could not repay the amount.
Speaking in an interview with Emelia Brobbey, Asantewaa recounted how she went bankrupt and couldn't even raise money to feed herself.
She noted that the support of some of her friends, including media personality Delay, Dancegod Lloyd, and others, helped her financially.
"At my age, I wanted to surprise myself, but the situation surprised me. I gave someone a shop to manage, and they misused the money and weren't financially strong enough to repay it till today. I went through a lot but didn't want to involve my husband, who was not in the country at the time.
"Because the story was out there, certain big people reached out to me, including Delay, who calls me at dawn. I invested everything in the store, so I lost all my money. There were some friends - Jaceline, Dancegodlloyd, and others - who contributed financially to help me survive. I didn't have enough money for feeding. It could be that it's God's lesson for me," she narrated.
The TikToker stated that she has now recovered from the situation, and her businesses are thriving.
