Mzbel and former President Mahama
Songstress Mzbel, born Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah has revealed that she learnt a lot of lessons campaigning for Former President John Dramani Mahama during the 2016 campaign.
The musician cum actress who earlier said she wish the former president does not stand for future elections in the country, appears to have rescinded her earlier calls and indicates that she will be willing to campaign for him but this time with caution.
On 3Fm’s Showbiz she indicated her admiration for the speech style of current president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo saying “When he speaks he sounds nice. It’s like you do not understand what he is saying but he is saying something anyways. It sounds nice in your ears.”
Mzbel prior to the 2016 polls was insulted for openly endorsing the candidature of then President John Dramani Mahama and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).
As a result, she released a press statement saying that it is a shame to see people insult, ridicule and attack her personality just because she was bold enough to voice out her political opinion, and endorse. President Mahama. She quizzed: “Are these not the same hypocrites who preach about peace.
