It’s not about supplication, it’s about power. It’s not about asking, it’s about demanding. It’s not about convincing those who are currently in power; it’s about changing the very face of power itself, so the current president of the Republic of Ghana, John Mahama believes.

During the week, he released the last batch of his 26 deputy ministers. He also believes that in his term as president, he must get a cabinet that is ‘brainy and beautiful’(even if not too ‘handsome’…no pun intended). That hard-to-get kind that comes from within - strength, courage, dignity.

Victoria Hammah is the new deputy minister designate for the Ministry of Communications, a feat she has beaten those who never gave it a thought or a whisker, but that’s what happens when you have the right qualities-the brain and the beauty.

She contested and lost the Ablekuma West Constituency seat to the NPP’s Ursula Owusu in last year’s elections. But that doesn’t matter a niche as she has been handed a ministerial portfolio.
