Switzerland based Ghanaian artiste, Jenny C has collaborated with gospel diva Esther Gooding Prempeh popularly known as Lady Prempeh on her latest album “Onyame Ben Ni”.

The affable Jennifer Chonia who is popularly known as Jenny C came to Ghana to work on her second album “Onyame Ben Ni” which is receiving massive air play both on radio and on the television stations.

According to her, she decided to feature Lady Prempeh because she realized they had something in common and saw lady as the perfect person to do that song with. Watch Mokobe by Jenny C feat. Lady Prempeh.

The “Moko Be” track is a Ga song so I needed somebody who could easily translate it or even sing a part in Twi for my Akan fans to also enjoy the song. I considered so many things before doing the song with Lady. One of which was coming from my fans who called my attention that I sound and look like Lady Prempeh even though I had not known or met her before” she said.

“Fortunately, I met her at TV Africa on their “Sounds Splash” music show and on the night, everybody thought we were twins. So after the program, people came to us and asked whether we relate to each other in any way. That was my first day of meeting Lady and after speaking with her in a jiffy, I realized that she was a good friend so I decided to do a song with her which is 'Moko Be'.

Ever since, Lady has become more than a sister to me. I really appreciate her and will always want us to remain friends” Jenny C revealed. Lady Prempeh on her side also had much to say to this writer as to how she met Jenny C.

“Yes, it is true I didn't know Jenny until people called me to verify whether a gospel musician by name Jenny C was my twin sister. People in the media and my fans were eager to know so when I had the chance to watch her on television, I said wow that is good. And luckily enough I met her at TV Africa and we became friends instantly. In fact Jenny is a darling”, Lady Prempeh confirmed.

The song which is being produced by Reynolds K. Agyekum Aikins (Kobby Rey) is undoubtedly one of the reigning gospel songs in Ghana. Jenny C is slated to come back to Ghana in December this year to prepare for her new album.
