Accra, May 18, GNA - The British Council has presented Mr Jojo Chartei Quansah, winner of the maiden Challenge Reality TV Show, with a Tata Safari Vehicle, as part of his prize. In addition, he has been offered a scholarship package valued at 40,000 pounds sterling to study in the University of Westminster as well as living allowance and a laptop computer.
Mr. Moses Aninaba, Director of British Council, presenting the prize to Mr Quansah and family in Accra, commended him for making Ghanaians proud. He said the Council would continue to support all those determined to develop their talents towards the country's socio-economic development and as individuals.
Madam Diana Yanney, Corporate Affairs and Education Manager, United Kingdom (UK), said the Council was committed to the cause of using education as the panacea to development and vital relations in Ghana and called on Ghanaians to collaborate with them to achieve it.
"These collaborations would go a long way to strengthen the already cordial relationship between Ghana and the United Kingdom," she said. Mr Quansah receiving the prize said "I have become a truly global person with a United Kingdom education. I will tell people that I discovered the world by studying in the UK".
