The much anticipated launch of Shatta Wale’s second album, ‘Reign’ is underway at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair, Accra. Dubbed ‘Shatta Wale Reign’ concert, the event is expected to attract thousands of music enthusiasts and fans of the dancehall artiste who intends to thrill them with songs from his old and new albums.
Shatta Wale will rock the stage alongside some selected artistes, including his Militants. The ‘Reign’ album has seventeen tracks. According to the artiste, although he loves all the songs on the album, his favourite is Exodus because it is inspired by his real life struggles.
With events of such nature, a lot of surprises happen and the biggest, arguably, would be Sarkodie storming the stage to perform with Shatta Wale. Two days to the event, the rapper took a swipe at the dancehall artiste in a song titled, ‘My Advice’. This came on the back of recent attacks on Sarkodie and some other musicians by Shatta Wale.
Some have said the release of the song was carefully planned to create a buzz around the ‘Reign’ concert while others assert Sarkodie was indeed fed up with Shatta Wale’s ‘unguarded’ comments.
In the face of all these, Shatta Wale has refused to comment on the song. Will Sarkodie show up? Will Shatta Wale throw shots at Sarkodie? Will the self-acclaimed Dancehall King reign tonight? Stay with us for live updates
