Following the fatal accident involving popular Kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, aka LilWin, which happened on May 25, 2024, Zolla Nie, a publicist of the actor has opened up about the circumstances behind the unfortunate incident.

The accident which claimed the life of a little boy, occurred at Amakom, a suburb of Kumasi.

Speaking in an interview with Hitz FM on May 27, 2024, Zolla Nie said that the accident occurred as LilWin's vehicle attempted to avoid an 'Aboboyaa' (a local term for a tricycle goods carrier).

“We were trying to evade an aboboyaa that was running into us. In our quest to swerve the aboboyaa, we collided with another vehicle. That was what happened,” he said.

Despite sustaining injuries, LilWin attended the premiere of his new movie, "A Country Called Ghana," at the KNUST CCB Auditorium.

Zolla Nie explained that he responsibly returned to the hospital following the event for further medical care.

“Although Lilwin faced some injuries, he made an appearance at the premiere. He was taken back to the hospital after the premiere,” he added.

Zolla Nie also clarified that Raymoni, LilWin's manager, was not critically injured in the accident, countering earlier reports that suggested otherwise.

Police investigation is ongoing, and LilWin's management has reached out to the family of the three-year-old boy, Tawiah Ampomah, who died in the accident, to offer support, but they have been asked to wait until the investigation is complete.
