Dominating the comedy and movie scene in the 1990’s, Abusuapanyin Judas says that current top crop comedians, Agya Koo and Lilwin are no match for him when it comes to acting. The stage performer said he would soon return to Ghana to take back his place as the king of comedy.
The actor who had relocated to live in the United States of America debunked rumours that he had quit acting and had ventured into a new field. He made known in an interview with Kofi TV that he was working on a movie that he was going to premiere on his return to Ghana.
Judas said with his wealth of experience in comedy and acting, it would be wrong to compare him with the popular Kumawood actors who he referred to as kids in terms of experience.
The actor said he was on a break from acting and would soon bounce back into full-time acting.
Abusuapanyin Judas revealed that he had to leave the shores of Ghana for the USA because the movie industry was not as lucrative as many people thought. He said it was the search for greener pastures that took him from the movie scene in Ghana.
The ace comedian recounted that it was out of the hardships in the movie industry that he had to go in search of money in the USA.
Judas was however appreciative of the fact that many young actors and actresses have been able to keep the movie industry in Ghana afloat despite the hardships.
Judas, who normally played the loudmouth in many movies used to share the stage with the late Bob Santo.
Both actors rose to become household names due how hilarious they were in movies and how often they were at each other’s throats trying to outdo each other.
The ace comedian and actor has featured in many movies.
