President John Dramani Mahama has made an impressive attempt to explain the muse for Shatta Wale’s ‘Mahama Paper’ hit.

Making a stopover at Ashaiman during his Greater Accra Region ‘Accounting to the People’ tour, President Mahama revealed his love for the multiple award-winning dancehall artiste.

Among the recent hits of Shatta Wale are ‘Mahama Paper’ and ‘Kakai’. President Mahama told the gathering that ‘Mahama Paper’ may have been composed by Shatta Wale, born Charles Nii Armah Mensah, after the mix-up of his script during the 47th Ordinary Session of ECOWAS in Accra last year.

He lauded Shatta Wale for his creativity. “Mahama don’t come like kakai,” the president said amidst cheers from the crowd. Mahama’s love for Shatta Wale adds up to the repertoire of Ghanaian music he loves.

He has previously said he is fond of Daddy Lumba’s Yentie Obiaa and Stonebwoy’s Baafira.
