Ghanaian musician Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A-Plus is appealing for public support to alleviate the plight of young man who badly needs a prosthetic leg (or artificial limb) to help him regain normal movement.

In a brittle voice, A-Plus recalls in a video posted on his Facebook page that young man, known as Prince, was robbed of his right leg when a careless driver knocked him down two years ago.

The unfortunate incident tore Prince’s dream of becoming a professional footballer to pieces in a split second.

A-Plus says Prince now requires a prosthetic leg that would need several changes as he grew into adulthood.

“Prince’s condition has left him psychologically traumatised as he no longer goes out to play with friends. He needs our help immediately,” the musician humbly appealed to the public.

The new prosthetic leg will cost thousands of cedis, which his relatives say they cannot afford. Prince says he would like to continue his education if the artificial limb is fixed.
