Afia Schwarzenegger has congratulated president-elect Akufo-Addo on his landslide victory in last Wednesday’s general election and urged NPP members to quit beating up NDC supporters.
“My brothers and sisters, what is happening in Ghana?, We (NDC) have voted, and have lost miserably; and after we lost, you are beating us up? Eiiii! ‘n’a aden?’ So aren’t you content with your victory in the elections? Must you beat us up to be content?” she questioned the NPP in her elaborately expressed Twi language.
“We (NDC) are apologizing to you; as you know, the elections didn’t favour us (NDC), so stop beating us up,” she said.
The popular comedienne went on to rain praises and appellations on Ghana’s president-elect, “Nana Akufo-Addo, Kyebi’s precious one, you have fought a good fight and hard one as that; you led election petition in court leading to unforgettable statements like, “you and I were not there” etc. you have done well and I congratulate you on your win! …”
She however added that if Akufo-Addo and the NPP, errs while in power, just as “I said that of John Mahama, I will say yours.”
