Calen Nii Boye
Actor and radio presenter Caleb Nii Boye has revealed that his girlfriend broke up with him because of his pose in a picture that was taken in the ‘Next Movie Star’ House.
Nii Boye who has starred in Sparrow Productions’ ‘Love Or Something Like That’ and ‘Shampaign’ was Ghana’s representative at the 2013 edition of ‘Next Movie Star Reality Show held in Lagos, Nigeria.
According to him, his girlfriend at the time was very jealous and doubtful. She even complained bitterly when she watched him kiss a lady passionately in a movie.
Nii tried to reason with her that it was just for the camera but she would have none of it. So the situation was worsened when he made it into the ‘Next Movie Star’ House in Nigeria.
While there, he and his house mates indulged in lots of fun activities and at one point took some provocative pictures. They just discussed personal lives and the conversation veered towards sex. The pictures were taken during this time all in a bid to relieve stress.
Though Nii maintains he never had sex with anyone in the house, his girlfriend didn’t think so. She dragged the matter, raised her other suspicions including his friendship with a South African lady and broke up with him.
The actor said he and the lady in question still talk from time to time even though they both have moved on.
Nii Boye is the host of The Weekend Train on Radio GIJ and is reading Communication Studies at the Ghana Institute of Journalism.
